Biophysical characteristics

Following features of the DOD diode laser make it very useful instrument in prostate surgery:

The 980 nm wavelength of the laser provides the highest combined absorption in water and hemoglobin.

As prostate tissue contains high percentage of water, our laser vaporizes it very effectively. Absorption of the laser energy by hemoglobin leads to excellent haemostasis and precise ablation of the obstructing tissue.

Equal absorption in tissue either well or poor supplied with blood-optimal penetration depth regardless of the level of vascularization ( vs. KPT, Hol, Thu)

Enables precise, minimally carbonized and virtually bloodless incision in prostatic tissue.

Excellent haemostasis ensures minimal post-operative bleeding and preservation of surrounding tissue for a quick recovery ( vs. KPT, TURP )

Short time of the procedure( vs. Ho;YAG, Nd:YAG, KPT, Thu )
